Obtaining a diamond grading report or certificate is vital when purchasing a diamond. Diamond reports are prepared independently by internationally recognised gemmological laboratories. These laboratories thoroughly scrutinise every aspect of a diamond with the most stringent standards to ensure the accuracy of every diamond report. A diamond report will comprise of detailed measurements of the diamond and the resulting grade of the 4C’s. Some reports will also include a plotted diagram of inclusions.
GIA produces diamond Dossiers and diamond Reports, the main difference is that a diamond Report plots the actual inclusions of the diamond, whereas the Dossier states the clarity grade without the plotted diagram. The diamond that we carry on this website may come with either one of these forms of GIA reporting.
